If this defense would have given up the lead and lost the Super Bowl, we'd be saying, get rid of all of them. The defense needs a facelift, they struggled many games. And as tough as it is to take to watch our favorites go, we can rebuild quickly. And yes, don't underestimate Ozzie Newsome.

It's always hard and frustrating for fans during free agency. Losing fan-favorites is tough to cope with, and it's easy to dismiss the business aspect of it since we are not inside the front office and don't know what their long-term goals/plans are.

So, I totally agree--- at the end of the day, we must have faith in our organization, and most importantly, Ozzie Newsome. Why? Because he has been so successful year in and year out. He deserves our trust at this point.

They were 11th against the pass and 15th against the run. Considering there are 32 teams in the league, I would say that's average, maybe a bit above average. And really? The Pro Bowl? What does that even mean anymore? Come on. And I can tell you, when they hooked up with the Ravens they were ranked nearly that high in those two categories.

I can understand if Mason felt bitter when he was first released, but he's a smart guy and now, in hindsight, he can see why the Ravens had to do what they had to do. We talk about this so much in football: it's a business. Cutting Mason was a business decision, and a smart one.

These are professional athletes getting paid millions of dollars. I really can't see how he can still hold a grudge, while sitting in a million-dollar home and living a comfortable life. The Ravens re-sparked his career, and obviously treated him way better than the Titans did. And that's why he wants to retire a Raven.

It's not a slap in the face at all. If anything, it just shows the class of an organization the Ravens are.

that is kind of a slap in the face. i respect derrick mason and loved him as a Titan. i would have rather seen him retire as a Titan. i can still remember seeing him stomp on the dirty bird. we did kind of do him dirty when we released him for cap restructuring. thanks for all the great memories.

Give the kid a chance. With 4.40 speed in the 40 he has something to work with. If he is a discipline or prima dona then he will have problems. Hopefully he is a young cat who is willing to learn and put in the work. This should be our year, last year was to close for comfort. Work hard and get it done RAVENS!!!!!!

Streeter is a raw talent that was in Shannon's dog house. Has a lot of room to grow in size and skill.

Well, it seems like a perfect fit. The Ravens coaching staff always seem to find a way to get the most out of these types of players. Considering he was a sixth round draft pick, I really like the upside and potential. I think he's gonna prove to be a steal.

Streeter is awful. And I'm the biggest Hurricane fan there is. He was able to catch some long balls, that was it. To most uneducated football fans, this makes you a good receiver. Problem is Streeter runs horrible routes, has no suddenness, and has zero ball skills. He's weak in traffic, and can't go over the middle. I guarantee you this clown doesn't make the team. He's an average college WR, not an NFL WR. Guaranteed.

As a Ravens fan, I'm pumped that the Ravens were able to pull down Streeter. As a Hurricane fan, I saw wehat he was able to do last season when given a chance to play. That being said, I really wished he had stayed at Miami for another year to fine tune his game. With proper coaching here, He'll do just fine.

Had Mr. Quarterback, a guy the stupid azzzz Steeelers let go. Lets see Colts were world champs by 1958, less then 10 years. Steelers were shiznit from 1938 to 1970's; 30 plus years of sucking.

Well. Just like the 1976 Oakland Raiders did in their 13-1 Super Bowl Season. They found a way to win. Well, in this case, the Raider Nation found a way to win this one much like that 1976 team. Honeslty, (even though I'm a Raider fan) I cannot believe both of these teams were in the championship round, but it just goes to show that this was a fan based popularity contest. While (IMO) the 76 Raiders was the greatest Raiders team, I believe that they were not the greatest superbowl team of all time. Honestly, I trust in the NFL America's Game (The Super Bowl Teams). Congrats to both fans of the Raiders and Ravens for getting their teams into the championship round.

The 1976 Steelers were the greatest team ever - no they did not win the Super Bowl but see what happened that year and despite not having a o backfield still almost won.

Just like the route to the Super Bowl, the Ravens made it to this final round as underdogs all the way.

One thing I thought about was how extraordinary the defense seemed because of how bad the offense was. Now, I'm not saying the defense was any short of stellar, but I wonder if they would be looked at the same if the Ravens offense had a better quarterback and receivers. Does the offense being bad make the defense even more great because of how they had to carry the team? Which begs another question: would the 00' Ravens have made it this far with a better offense?

Because this is fan voting, I think the Ravens made it this far actually because of the very fact that the offense was mediocre, and there was something to prove by the Maryland community. Ravens fans are one of the most loyal, and a lot of us definitely cling on to that moment in 2000, so I can definitely see another underdog win to top the '76 Raiders.

In reality, it's hard to compare teams of such different eras, as 24 years is a big difference. Nonetheless, we need to all vote and at least show the world that Ravens fans are the most loyal, active and supportive!
